Disposal and Transfer Facilites

The following is a list of licensed, Subtitle D, solid waste disposal facilities and Licensed Solid Waste Transfer Station Facilities that maintain contractual agreements (Capacity Assurance Agreements) with the solid waste management district. These contracts were put into effect in 1993 and 1994 to comply with an Ohio EPA requirement that solid waste management districts provide access to solid waste disposal for the initial planning period and any subsequent planning periods. The District must maintain sufficient solid waste disposal capacity to provide for the daily disposal of all waste generated within its jurisdictional boundaries. The following list of facilities is the only facilities that may be used by the District’s residents and businesses for the disposal of solid waste and scrap tires. Variances or Waivers are provided upon request to manufacturing facilities that may produce "Specially Handled Industrial Process Wastes" and require that these wastes be handled in a more secure manner at Subtitle C Disposal or Hazardous Waste Incineration Facilities.
